This image represents the opening into the Void aspect of Vajrasattva. He is bright diamond light which creates beauty and innocence (daisies), and green leaves of the organic worlds.
As one meditates upon him, perception becomes crystalline and geometrical and eventually reaches the source of the perception in Emptiness. The gray area is the crystalline ice of the mind which opens up to reveal the dark Buddhist Void.
